Swimming & Diving Teams, Individuals Receive CSCAA Academic Honors for 2016-17

MEDFORD - The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) recently announced its Scholar All-America teams and head coach Adam Hoyt's teamd and eight student-athletes were recognized.

Individually, swimmers and divers named to the CSCAA Scholar All-America first team achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and participated in the NCAA Division III Championships. Honorable mention selections similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and recorded an NCAA "B" time standard or competed at a regional or zone qualifying meet.

For the Tufts men's team, Lawrence Lau, Matt Rohrer and Zach Wallace were named to the CSCAA Scholar All-America first team. Tufts' Aaron Idelson was named as an honorable mention selection.

For the Tufts women, Colleen Doolan and Amanda Gottschalk are on the CSCAA Scholar All-America first team, while Grace Goetcheus and Kylie Reiman earned honorable mention awards.

Additionally, the CSCAA honored teams for their academic achievement collectively. Squads with cumulative grade point averages of 3.0 or higher during the Spring 2017 semester were recognized. Both the Tufts men (3.39) and the Tufts women (3.56) received this accolade.
