Lena Cantone (Southington, VT), Katherine Darveau (Reading, MA), Lizzy Iuppa (Paramus, NJ) and Mira Lieman-Sifry (Hastings-on-Hudson, NY) "graduated early" on Tuesday as Tufts President Anthony P. Monaco hosted a commencement ceremony for the Jumbo softball team seniors who will be traveling to Salem, Va., this weekend.

Jumbo Softball Set to Face Roanoke at 2012 NCAA Championship Finals on Friday

The Tufts softball team will compete for its first-ever national championship later this week at the 2012 NCAA Div. III finals to be held at the Moyer Complex in Salem, VA. The Jumbos open play in the double-elimination tournament in Salem on Friday at 6:30 pm against Roanoke.

Jumbo Softball Wins Regional to Punch Ticket to Salem, Va., for NCAA Finals

The Tufts softball team won its third NCAA Regional title, and will play at the NCAA Finals later this week in Salem, Va., after defeating host Eastern Connecticut 6-0 in the regional championship game on Sunday.
