Brendan McFall, Baseball

In a "winner takes all" for the NESCAC East pennant in game two of Sunday's double-header between Tufts and Trinity, McFall was brilliant with a two-hit shutout in a 1-0 Jumbo victory. He struck out nine and did not walk anyone in the nine-inning game. He did not allow a Trinity runner to reach second base. As NESCAC East champ, Tufts earned the right to host the conference championship series versus Amherst next weekend. A junior from Baldwin, N.Y., McFall completed the game with 110 pitches, 71 for strikes.
