Jumbo Spring Athletes Earn Conference Sportsmanship Honors in 11 Sports

MEDFORD - Eleven members of Tufts University spring sports teams received 2021 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Sportsmanship Team honors today.

Jumbos receiving the honor were Baseball senior Ryan Noone, Men's Golf sophomore Jack Meehan, Men's Lacrosse senior Larson Tolo, Women's Lacrosse senior Mae Briody, Men's Rowing junior Logan McLennan, Women's Rowing senior Amanda Downing, Softball kjunoir Kat Yuzefpolsky, Men's Tennis junior Josh Belandres, Women's Tennis junior Casey Cummings, Men's Track & Field senior Sam Oomen-Lochtefeld and Women's Track & Field junior Cora Kakalec.

A total of 120 student-athletes have been named to the 2022 NESCAC Spring All-Sportsmanship Team. The team is composed of one student-athlete from each institution in each sport the conference sponsors. Honorees were selected by the institutions.

The NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Team recognizes student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to sportsmanship. These student-athletes exhibit respect for themselves, teammates, coaches, and opponents. They display sportsmanship, not only as a participant in their sport, but also as a spectator and in their everyday lives. Through their positive actions and example, these student- athletes inspire others to adhere to the quality of sportsmanship that the NESCAC and the NCAA endorse.

The All-NESCAC performers who also earned a spot on the All-Sportsmanship Team this season include Meehan, Belandres and Kakalec.
