Bob Clarke is Tufts head coach John Casey's long-time lieutenant on the Jumbo baseball staff. He works with the outfielders and coaches first base.
Coach Clarke returned to the team in 2016 after two seasons away. He was first hired as Coach Casey's assistant in 1988 and has been with the program for most of the past 34 seasons. During his time on the staff, Coach Clarke has helped guide the Jumbos to six New England Small College Athletic Conference titles and six NCAA Tournament berths. The press box at Tufts' Huskins Field is name in his honor.
After 35 years working in high school administration and coaching, Clarke retired in 2015. He spent more than two decades at Newburyport High School, including a term as Athletic Director.
