Golf in 8th at Williams Fall Invitational After One Day

WILLIAMSTOWN - Day One of the Williams Fall Invitational at Taconic Golf Course saw the Tufts University Jumbos take eighth place among teams, with senior Adam Schwimmer recording the top Tufts score of 75 (four-over) landing him in the 17th spot individually. Play continues at 9:00 AM Sunday.

Senior Mac Bredahl was just a few spots back (tied for 24th) from Schwimmer with a five-over round of 76. Senior Travis Clauson and sophomore Jack Meehan also scored for Tufts with rounds of seven-over 78. The Jumbos find themselves only one shot behind seventh-place Rensselaer and eight shots back from third-place Hamilton heading into day two.

Babson College came out of the first round of play in first place with Trinity College and Hamilton College in the second and third positions, respectively. The Beavers compiled a team score of 284 and are seven shots ahead of Trinity (291) and 15 ahead of Hamiliton (299).

Trinity had the best individual performance with Benjamin Boyd shooting an impressive three-under 68. Lane Bohman of Babson and Max Edminster of Trinity are tied for the second position individually. They put up scores of even par 71.
