Golfers Finish Fourth After One Round at Bowdoin

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Senior Mac Bredahl shot an even-par 72 on Saturday and the Tufts University golf team placed fourth out of 16 teams following one round at the Bowdoin Invitational. Sunday's second round was canceled after heavy rain overnight made the course unplayable.

Played at the Brunswick Golf Club, Tufts' four best scores totaled to 303 strokes on Saturday. They finished fourth behind Trinity (294), Husson (297) and Middlebury (299). The University of New England was fifth behind the Jumbos at 306.

Bredahl took fourth place individually following his 72. Sophomore Jack Meehan shot two-over 74 for the Jumbos' second-best score and tied for ninth. Junior Kemp Bassett had a six-over 78. Both Adam Schwimmer and Travis Clauson carded 79's for the Jumbos.

Jack Godin of first-place Trinity wass low man with Saturday's three-under 69.
