Blasé, Meehan Voted To NESCAC Men's Golf All-Conference 1st Team

MEDFORD - Sophomore Jack Meehan (pictured, left) and junior Ben Blase (pictured, right) earned spots on the 2022 NESCAC Men's Golf All-Conference first team announced today.

This is the second straight season in which Meeghan receives NESCAC honors. He was the Rookie of the Year and an All-Conference second team honoree in 2021. Meehan won medalist honors in NESCAC with a two-day 143 score. After shooting a 75 on Saturday, he fired a three-under 68 on Sunday. Also this spring the Jumbos won the one-day Western New England Classic and Meehan tied for medalist honors with a 73, and he was Meehan (80-73-153) was fourth indiviidually at Trinity's Bill Detrick Invitational.

Blasé led Tufts on day one at NESCAC's with a 73 and finished tied for ninth overall at 153 strokes. He tied for second individually at Trinity with a 152 tournament total, which included Saturday's 75.

Head coach George Pendergast's team was second at the conference tournament with a 609 total. behind only host and conference champion Hamilton College (597) out of 10 teams overall.
