Recruiting Information & FAQs

Thank you for your interest in Tufts University and our Men's Lacrosse program. To assist in your recruiting process, we have compiled the following Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) that will aid you in this process.

How do I start my recruitment process at Tufts University?

The first thing we encourage every prospective student-athlete to do is complete our online recruit questionnaire. Filling out this questionnaire automatically places you in our recruiting database, allowing for seamless two-way communication to occur.

What is the recruiting process like at Tufts University?

Although recruiting at Tufts University is constantly ongoing, the process becomes more concrete once your Junior year is complete. After completing your Junior year, we require a completed transcript, HS profile, standardized test scores (SAT/ACT), and your upcoming Senior class schedule. With this in hand, we are able to provide clear and concise feedback on where you stand in our recruiting process.

What can I do to advance the recruiting process prior to the end of my Junior year?

There are plenty of ways to mature the recruiting process prior to your Junior year with Tufts Lacrosse. First, we strongly recommend that you consistently update your player profile that you created via our recruit questionnaire. Uploading recent highlight film, academic information, and upcoming lacrosse recruiting events (camps/showcases) is highly encouraged. Additionally, there are no communication restrictions with regard to phone calls or e-mails so feel free to update us with your academic and athletic progress.

How can I visit Tufts University?

There are several ways Tufts University offers exposure to prospective student-athletes. First, the University offers frequent information sessions and campus wide tours that can be scheduled in advance. Second, you can contact us via phone or e-mail to schedule a meeting with a member of our coaching staff. Lastly, we always encourage prospective student-athletes to get a feel for Tufts University and our lacrosse program by attending our summer lacrosse camp.

What does Tufts Lacrosse look for in a prospective student-athlete?

After winning the 2010 National Championship our program is constantly striving to attract the most talented well rounded student-athletes around the country. Most importantly to us, we are looking for people who share a love for Tufts University and our lacrosse program. Our program's success was built on the hard work and dedication of Tufts students dating back to 1930, and we are constantly looking to improve upon our successful foundation.
