Title: Assistant Coach

A 2019 graduate of Tufts originally from North Berwick, Maine, Hintermeister competed in multiple events for the Tufts track & field team including six different race distances, hurdles, high jump, pole vault, long jump, javelin throw, shotput throw, and discus throw.

In 2019, Hintermeister finished second in the javelin throw at both the NESCAC Outdoor Championship (52.34m) and the DIII New England Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship (58.33m) and fourth place at the NEICAAA New England Outdoor Championship (61.85m). At the 2019 NCAA DIII Outdoor Track & Field Championship, he finished in tenth place (58.00m).   

In the 2018 Men's DIII New England Track & Field Championship, he finished fourth in the heptathlon with second place finishes in both the 1,000-meter race and the shotput. At the 2018 NESCAC Outdoor Championships he finished first in the javelin throw and seventeenth in the javelin at that year's NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships.  

Hintermeister finished fourth in the 2017 DIII New England Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship heptathlon with first place finishes in the 1,000-meter race, shotput, and 60-meter race and finished fourth in the javelin throw at the 2017 NESCAC Championship. He went on to finish 19th in the javelin throw at the 2017 NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships.
