Name: Meghan McCooey
Sport: Women's Tennis
Year of Graduation: 2010
Major: Biopsychology

Where do you currently work and what do you do?

I am a Cardiology Physician Assistant at Baptist Health of South Florida.

What is your favorite Tufts memory?

My favorite Tufts memory is playing a home tennis match during Spring Fling with Drake blaring from the lawn. And road trips with the girls!

How has the Tufts community helped you in your professional life since graduating?

My tennis alumni group has helped me to remember to approach every challenge in my professional life with the same positive attitude and mental toughness that helped our team succeed on the court.

McCooey won consecutive Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Small College National Championships in doubles with teammate Julia Browne in 2008 and 2009. She was a three-time ITA All-American for head coach Kate Bayard's Jumbos, honored for her doubles play in 2009 and 2010, while she was All-American in singles for 2007-08. A two-time captain of the Jumbos, McCooey was also a NESCAC All-Conference selection three times in her career.
